How do Guardian Homes Work?
In our Guardian program, the selected family provides a loving home for an intact breeding female or male puppy. This puppy will become an active part of our breeding program once their health testing is complete. As the dog reaches different checkpoints of the contract, your deposit for the puppy is returned in installments, and when the dog has its final litter, we cover all the costs of spaying or neutering your pet.
Guardian homes help us preserve the lineage of our breeds and allow us to raise them ethically with dogs that are both in permanent homes and comfortable with the breeder.
Guardian families are also ALWAYS welcome to visit their dog while she’s having her puppies and then visit until the mama is ready to go back home. If the dog is not suitable for breeding, or has any issues throughout the process, she is spayed and continues to live out her life with her family.
For the length of the guardianship – you are the emotional owner, and we are the legal owner to the dog and any puppies the dog produces. This requires you to provide a loving home for the dog and commit to delivering high quality veterinary care at an approved veterinarian office, feeding them a high quality dog food chosen by us, training it in basic commands, providing sufficient physical and mental stimulation, and making them available to us for health testing and breeding purposes. A guardianship contract will be prepared that clearly outlines each party’s responsibilities and commitments.
We will need access to the dog to carry out health tests, various bloodwork, ultrasounds, X-rays and breeding.
There is a VERY big difference with a reputable breeder and it is extremely clear when you look at the long-term commitment that goes along with a puppy. When the puppy comes microchipped, fully vetted and with a 7 year health warranty, in a formal contract, the breeder is literally staking their business reputation by standing behind generations of purposeful and ethical breeding standards.

RETIREMENT – YOUR FOREVER FAMILY PET
Once our female dog has had her last litter or our male dog turns eight, the co-ownership ends: the dog will be spayed or neutered at our expense, and then the ownership is signed over to you.
Under this kind of arrangement, expenses related to the day-to-day care of the dog are your responsibility (food, annual vaccinations, grooming, general health care, toys, etc.). Any expenses related to health testing for breeding purposes, breeding, whelping, and care of the puppies are our responsibility.
Browse our “Available Puppy” Page to meet our current litters. Please note, we do also have a waitlist available for our upcoming litters.
